Friendship Baptist

May 27, 2014; Atlanta, GA, USA; Church personnel and contractors pack up materials at Friendship Baptist Church, 437 Mitchell Street Southwest in Atlanta. The church held its last service on May 25 before the its buildings will be demolished to make way for new Atlanta Falcons Stadium. The Rev. Dr. William Guy, former pastor of Friendship, delivered the last sermon. The church, founded in 1866 and Atlanta’s oldest black church, received more than $19 million for the land.
