As we start a new year, I’m taking a look back at 2018 and sharing my favorite images. It was an amazing year, and I’m continually reminded of how lucky I am to make a living taking pictures. I’ve gone through everything I shot over the past 12 months, and narrowed it down to 25 photographs. They are presented here in chronological order, and include sports, political assignments and personal stories, as well as a few previously unpublished images from my personal and commercial work. Where possible, links are provided.

The evening light at Clayton State’s soccer field is gorgeous … too bad it won’t be all season, as the sun goes down earlier and earlier. This frame (CSU’s Jency Ramirez dribbles the ball downfield.) is from last week, when I shot a soccer doubleheader there. The men played the Tampa Spartans, and the women battled the Wingate Bulldogs. It was a heartbreaker, considering both teams tied, even two overtime periods each. Here are a few of my favorite frames from each game.

Photos of the Year 2013
I cannot believe that 2012 is over! It was wonderful to be a part of, witness, and capture so many cool things. I still have a long way to go in this profession for sure, but I believe I was able to make a couple of decent frames in the past 12 months. My goals for 2013 include trying to learn more from seasoned pros — you know, those folks who seem to produce stellar work on almost a daily basis.
Anyways, below is a selection of what I consider to be my best photos of 2012.
